MK475 - Industry Analysis on Luxury Automobile Market









      Creating and leveraging luxury brand equity is a significant challenge. This course explored luxury entrepreneurship, innovation, and disruptive business models, the role of technology, craftsmanship, and design in the creation and evolution of luxury brands.

      Since luxury exists in a sphere beyond traditional consumption, there are several “anti-laws”of marketing that apply to these brands. In addition to having to navigate these “anti-laws” luxury retailers need to manage changes to the industry brought on by e-commerce and portable computing.

      My team explored the past, present and future for the luxury automobile market. We analyzed the various changes to the industry over the recent past and forecast projections of the future of the industry. Combining detailed analyses of individual luxury brands with macro-economic trends in the industry our team forecast which brands we expect to thrive in the near future and which brands we believe will begin to falter.
